Two ways we help: we bring the notary, or we run it for you
Every job falls into one of two kinds, and we tell you which one yours is before you pay.
We bring the notary to you
Some documents must be signed, sworn or declared in person before a notary public — a power of attorney, an affidavit, a statutory declaration, a contract for use overseas. A notary meets you where you are: your home, your office, a hospital ward or your hotel. After you sign, we take the document to SAL and, if needed, to the embassy.

Other jobs need no signature from you at all — a Singapore birth or marriage certificate for apostille, certified true copies of your degree, a company’s ACRA documents. You hand us the originals with a short letter of authorisation, and you never have to appear anywhere.

Sign, swear or declare for you. That always happens in person before the notary — which is exactly why we bring the notary to you. How a job moves from quote to delivery.
For companies and directors
Companies usually need legalised documents at the worst possible moment: opening a subsidiary abroad, passing a foreign bank’s KYC, bidding for an overseas tender or signing with a distributor. We take the whole chain off your team’s desk.
- Board and shareholder resolutions, certificates of good standing and incumbency, and ACRA business profiles — corporate document notarisation and apostille
- Several directors signing in one sitting, at your office, at a time that suits your calendar
- Corporate powers of attorney for managers and lawyers abroad — power of attorney notarisation
- Embassy legalisation for destinations that don’t accept an apostille, such as the UAE — embassy attestation
- A monthly retainer for companies with regular overseas paperwork

Delivered
Back to you, or couriered straight to the overseas recipient.
The notarisation itself is done during the visit. SAL files on working days and the apostille usually follows within 1–3 working days; embassy legalisation adds the embassy’s own time. We give you a realistic timeline before you pay, never a guarantee we can’t control. Read the full process.
Apostille or embassy attestation? It depends where your document is going
Singapore joined the Hague Apostille Convention, and since 16 September 2021 the Singapore Academy of Law has been the authority that issues apostilles for Singapore documents. If your destination is a member, one apostille is usually all it needs. If it isn’t, the document also has to be legalised by that country’s embassy.
| Destination | What your document needs |
|---|---|
| India | Notarisation (if private) + SAL apostille |
| China | Notarisation + SAL apostille (no embassy step since 7 November 2023) |
| Vietnam | Notarisation + SAL apostille (from 11 September 2026) |
| Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, UK, USA, Canada, Australia | Notarisation + SAL apostille |
| UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia | Notarisation + SAL + embassy legalisation |
| Thailand | Embassy legalisation until 28 February 2027, apostille after that |
Rules change, and some recipients ask for more than the rule requires. We confirm the route for your specific document before quoting. More detail: apostille service · embassy attestation.

What happens to your originals
Handing over a passport or a degree certificate takes trust, so we treat it as a chain of custody: each document is logged at pickup, carried sealed, handed only to the notary, SAL or the embassy, and returned with tracking. We delete our copies 3 days after delivery, and we handle NRIC and passport details under Singapore’s PDPA.
How we handle your documentsWho we are
Attestation Runner (attestationrunner.sg) is a Singapore document concierge based at Suntec Tower One. We are not a law firm and not a notary public. Notarial acts are performed by notaries public appointed in Singapore; we arrange the appointment, carry the documents, file them and follow up until they are back with you.
