Singapore Documents for India — Notarisation and SAL Apostille

India is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, so a document from Singapore needs only notarisation (if it is a private document) and an apostille from the Singapore Academy of Law. No Indian embassy or High Commission step is needed for the apostille route. We arrange the notary at your home or office and courier the finished document to India.

India accepts apostilles: what that means for you

Many people search for “MEA attestation” or “embassy attestation” for India. Stamping in India within three months

Under the Indian Stamp Act, a power of attorney signed outside India generally has to be stamped (adjudicated) by the stamp authority in the relevant state within three months of being received in India, before it can be registered or relied on. Stamp duty rates are set by each state. Your family or lawyer in India handles this step — plan for it so the three-month window doesn’t lapse.
